Oxymoron-Quiet Storm

Worry

I used this to show worry, because during this time of year alot of people worry over tornadoes and other types of stroms.

I Chose this for wide, because when you are driving, it is very hard to see around an 18 wheeler. They also have signs on them that say WIDE load.

Electricity

When I think of electricity, a light bulb comes to mind, because a light bulb represents thinking, and energy being produced. This is a major part of all our lives.

I used this to represent seed, because planting a seed is very important to us and our environment, so as my example I have someone planting a seed.

Wrinkles

When I thought about wrinkle, a pet peave of mine, came to mind, which is a wrinkled shirt. I did the best I could to make it look wrinkled and high quality at the same time.

I used these to represent my license plates because they are often used symbols in pennsylvania.

I used an old indian drum to represent primitive, because primitive means first, and the indians were the first settlers, so the drum is representing them.

Save

This represents save because, our earth is the most important thing to save. In order to live here we need to keep saving it.

Fail

I used this to demonstrate my version of fail, because when something fails, it has not suceeded at doing its job, and thats what this is showing. The bucket is suppose to hold water, but instead the water is leaking out the sides.

Proverb - Easier said than done

This represents easier said than done, because the person climbing the rock is struggling to get to the top. In the picture the person saying that it's easy, is in a cloud, because he is thinking of someone who said that to him earlier.

Homage

I used the cross and its shadow to represent homage, because it represents respect that one has for the cross I used gradient in this as well.

Heavy

When I think of heavy I think of a scale that is used to measure things.

Pet Peeves

When I think of pet peeves of mine, I think of drivers who don't pay attention when driving. This shows a car not going at a green light.

Leap

I used this to represent leap, because the frog I drew is leaping over the word leap. I also added a frog leg to the letter L to add more effect.

Multiple

I used this to show multiple, because when you have multiple of something, it is usually something you enjoy, in my case I enjoy lacrosse. So I took the idea of multiple, and lacrosse, and put them together.

These words show the emphasis of the word, into its design.

Dictionary Word-Resistance

The word represents its meaning because it is resisting the pressure, and it shows the word being pushed together. It also shows that once the words overlap, they show as a white outline.

Theory

When I think of theory, I think of a good novel thats has different points of view, and ideas.

Choose

I used this as my example of choose, because it means to make a decision, and in the graphic the arrows show different choices you can make. The question mark stands for you asking yourself if what you chose, was the right decision.

Alphabet

I used the different colors to represent the letters, because it shows the differences in the types of typography and styles of the letters.

This represents different types of typography used in designing a project.

Tales and Legends

This is what I think represents tales and legends. It shows the old plain grey castles that were made hundreds of years ago, and how much our lifestyle has improved since then.

Blanket

I used this to represent blanket, because one blanket can mean alot for someone. It shows the same distinct blanket in two different places. I used typography to cover the letters, like a blanket can cover a person.

I used these shapes to show movement, because the way they are displayed, they show a sort of pattern into the picture.
